How To Login?

You can easily do a Jio router login from your personal mobile phone where you have the MyJio app installed in it. But, if you don’t have your mobile phone or MyJio app with you, you can still login following these simple steps:

Connect Your Device With The LAN

To do a Jio wifi router login you need to connect your device with the LAN cable. You won’t be able to login using the Wi-Fi. It is a must to connect to the internet through the LAN cable which is provided with the Jio Gigafiber or Jio Router.

You can simply connect with the LAN cable, you don’t require any password to connect to the internet through the LAN cable.

Know The IP Address

You need to know the IP address of your WiFi device. To know the IP address of your device simply punch “Windows+R”, then type “cmd” and go to the command prompt.

The above step will prompt a tab to open on your screen with a black background simply type “ipconfig” on that tab and hit the enter key. All the details including your IP address will be visible on the screen. Look for the “Default Gateway”. The series of numbers by the side of Default Gateway: is the IP address of your Wi-Fi.

Not to confuse  between the IPv4 address and Default Gateway. The IPv4 address is the IP address of your system, the device which you are using right now, so make sure you note down only the numbers succeeding the “ Default Gateway.” Gateway IP is always the IP address of your router. The IP address for most Jio router login is “192.168.1.1

Then you need to type the Jio IP address “192.168.1.1” into the search bar of your browser and hit the enter key.

Final Step

Doing the above will redirect you to Jio’s web-based user interface. There you will see two blank spaces next to username and password. The default username and password are always present in the user manual provided along with the Jio router. If you don’t have the manual or don’t want to go through the whole manual, simply go to google and search for the default username and password. The default jio username is “admin” and the default jio password is “admin.”

Once you log in using the default username and password, you can now easily view all the network and configuration details, how many devices are connected, enable or disable them as per your wish, you can even restrict the number of devices which can be connected through your router and so on.

How To Login Into Jio Wireless Modem?

JioFi or the Jio wireless modems are the upgraded version of the dongles with their dongle IP address we used earlier, to connect with the internet. Reliance Jio had launched Jio-Fi as basically a hotspot device. It provides a high-speed internet connection through a wireless modem which is portable and can be taken anywhere with you. Moreover, it is a small device that is black in colour, which creates a hotspot connection and almost all types of devices can connect to the internet through Wi-Fi. It uses a sim card which in turns creates a hotspot and can connect any device to the Internet.

Logging in becomes comparatively simple if you have My Jio App installed on your smartphone. You can easily change the password with the help of this app. Go to the My Jio app and select the device you want to log in to, then go to the settings and select Wi-Fi settings. You will find the option to change the Jio-Fi name and also the option to change the password of the Wi-Fi.

For Jio modem login, or Jio-Fi follow the following steps:

  1. Switch on the Jio-Fi by pressing and bringing down the button given on its side, to switch it on.
  2. Once you switch it on, connect any of your devices using the hotspot using the wireless settings on the device. 
  3. Open any browser and simply type in http://jiofi.local.html or http://192.168.225.1. And then hit enter. This will redirect to the page where you can view and manage all your Jio router login or Jio-Fi settings.192.168.225.1
  4. You will see a login page with two blank spaces mentioned against the username and password. The default username is “administrator: and the default password is also “administrator.”administrator
  5. Hit the login button. You should get access to the homepage of the modem. Here, you can view and manage the settings. 

How To Change The Wi-Fi Password?

If you want to change the password of your Jio modem from the default Jio wifi default password to a more secured one, follow these steps:

  1. You will see various columns, one of the columns says “Network”. Click on that particular column.
  2. Then click “Wi-Fi configuration.”Network Wi-fi Configuration
  3. Then select the option which says “secure keys.”
  4. Choose a password, enter the password and then save your settings.

Changing the password becomes an important step because without that your device won’t be protected from unauthorized access. Avoid using easy to guess passwords such as birth dates or someone’s name. This will help you for a hassle-free Jio router login everytime.
