You need to log in to your router web-based user interface to change the settings to customize your router, as well as while configuring it for the first time. Power on your Router and make sure it is working properly.

Step 1: Connect your device to the Internet. Make sure you are connected to a stable network. Connect with the Cisco router, whose admin page you want to login. The “traditional” Method

Step1: Search for the “Control Panel” in the search bar.

Step 4: You will find the name of your network listed there. Click on your network.

Step 5: Click on “Ethernet”. View all details or the properties. Then, you should be able to see the IP address which is mentioned as “Default Gateway.” In Windows, it is written as Default Gateway. This will enable you to see the IP address of your router next to the Default Gateway on the screen. 

When you type the IP address into the search bar, (type http://192.168.1.1 )this will redirect you to the Cisco router login page of the web-based user interface. 

On that page, you will see the option to log in. To log in, you will need to enter the username and password. 

You can try the Cisco WIFI router login using the default username and default password, depending upon the IP address of your Cisco router.

Some Default Username And Password Combinations

If the IP address of your router is 192. 168.1.1 you can use one of these usernames and password combinations.

Username: admin

Cisco default password : admin

Default username: cisco

Default password: cisco

If the IP address of your router is 10.0.0.1 you can try the following username and password combinations.

Username: Cisco

Default password: Cisco

Username: admin

Default password: password

If the IP address of your router is 192.168.1.254, then you can try the Cisco router login by using the below-mentioned Default username and password combinations.

Step 4: After pressing the enter key, and hitting on the login button, you will directly log in to the homepage of the admin router page.

If None Of These Steps Works?

If none of these steps works for your Cisco router login, then maybe your password has been changed. 

You need to log in using the new username and password combination.

It often happens that we change our passwords and later we forget it. In such a case, you will have to reset the router, that is the only option you have, in case you have forgotten your password.

To reset your router, search for a small hole like button on your router.

You might need a sim ejector pin or a toothpick to be able to press it.

Press it using the tool and keep it for 20 to 30 seconds. This step will reset the router.

Once you reset the router, the settings will restore to the default factory settings, now you will need your default username and password to log in.

If you don’t know your default username and password, look for the back of the router. The default username and password will be imprinted on the router, either on the back of the router or the base of the router.

Change The Wi-Fi Password Of Your Cisco Router?

You can change the Wi-Fi password of your router, and also customise after you have logged in to the router page.

Search for the Quick setup option on the dashboard in the settings. The newly launched Cisco routers have this option, but in the older versions, this option may not be available.
